Modern Liberalism Isn’t Liberal Anymore — It’s Just Masked Marxism in a Rainbow Hat.

The father of modern liberalism was John Locke — a 17th-century thinker who believed in:

Individual rights

Limited government

Private property

Religious freedom

The right to resist tyranny

In today’s terms?

John Locke would be labeled a dangerous conservative.

He believed your rights come from God, not government.

He said the government’s only purpose was to protect life, liberty, and property — not to redistribute, indoctrinate, or censor.

Fast forward to FDR in the 1930s — after the Great Depression wrecked the economy

FDR’s New Deal wasn’t Marxist.

It was an emergency set of reforms to:

Stabilize the banks

Put Americans back to work

Create basic safety nets (Social Security, FDIC)

You might not agree with everything FDR did, but it was about saving capitalism, not destroying it. Now?

The ideology calling itself “liberalism” has drifted lightyears from Locke and FDR.

Today’s Left has embraced:

Censorship in the name of “tolerance”

Redistribution without representation

Identity politics over individual liberty

State power over personal freedom

Cultural Marxism dressed up as “equity”

It’s not liberalism.

It’s not progress.

It’s neo-Marxist authoritarianism using the word “liberal” like a disguise.

So here’s the truth:

John Locke would be on the DHS watch list.

FDR would be booed off the DNC stage.

And most people calling themselves “liberals” today wouldn’t recognize liberty if it hit them with a powdered wig and a pocket Constitution.

It’s not “liberal” to silence people.

It’s not “justice” to destroy merit.

And it’s not “progress” to erase the past.

It’s just control—and we’re not buying it anymore.
