Thanksgiving Blessings

This Thanksgiving, I have an abundance of blessings to be thankful for. A successful 26 year Air Force career filled with dedication, impact, and memories of serving my country across the globe.

Growing up as a military brat gave me the rare privilege of experiencing different cultures, traditions, and countries, shaping my worldview and deep appreciation for diversity.

A lifetime of travel has gifted me connections with incredible people across continents—lifelong friendships and bonds that transcend borders.

My family, who supported and shared in my journey, from my time as a child growing up in a military household to my service as an adult.

My transition into a new career as an author with a four-book deal with Illative House Publishing is a testament to God's blessings. The chance to share my stories with the world is an exciting new chapter.

My deep Christian faith and connection with God, which have guided me through life's challenges and joys, allowing me to see the bigger picture and embrace my calling.

Retiring in good health after a demanding career is no small blessing. I now have time to focus on what brings me joy and fulfillment.

Decades of exposure to different lifestyles, ideologies, and philosophies have enriched my mind and soul, giving me a wealth of stories to share and lessons to teach.

The impact I made as an American Forces Radio DJ and programmer, bringing music and comfort to countless listeners worldwide, is something I cherish. It’s a legacy of creativity and connection.

Retirement isn’t the end—it’s a new beginning filled with exciting possibilities. Writing, mentoring, or even furthering my interests in faith and philosophy are open roads.

Thanksgiving is a time to pause and acknowledge all the incredible experiences I’ve had, from my childhood adventures to my military service and now this vibrant, creative phase of life.

As an American, I have the privilege to enjoy the freedoms and opportunities that my (and my families) service and sacrifices helped to protect.

This season, my journey, family, and faith combine into a powerful narrative of gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving, Friends! May it be a day filled with reflection, joy, and the warmth of loved ones.
