Leftover Gasp of Logic

In the U.S. 100 years ago, or so, our society operated within the bounds of Judeo-Christian morality, even if it was only a leftover gasp of traditions from their grandparents. People protected it, practiced it, and mostly respected people who did. Right, wrong, good, and evil were commonly understood, even if not applied. It was the "norm." Now, it's not. People don't know what they believe or what warrants a belief. They don't have adequate skills in logic and look to inferior sources for knowledge.

People don't challenge their own beliefs, which is where it has t start. They don't know how to research a subject, and use deductive and inductive reasoning to reach specific and broad conclusions. No one teaches that, and "hey, what's reading." It's no small wonder we're not communicating, because no one defines their words and the meaning to their beliefs. They're relativists and think that everyone has "Their truth."

No thinking. No reasons, just clever anecdotes, and bumper-sticker philosophies, No good answers given at home, church, or school. Some people give up, not knowing what to do. Nihilism implicitly wins the day. Their only belief is that there is nothing certain in human existence and all values are relative. They reject fundamental truths often used to describe or govern human life, such as the rejection of morals, assumptions, or knowledge. Why? Because they needed answers, and you didn't know either.
